Did you know that each year from September 15 to October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month? It is a 30 day period that celebrates and highlights contributions made by American citizens, including military service, of whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. It was first started by president Lydon Johnson in 1968 and then President Reagan expanded it to a 30 period in 1988.
